High-performance engineering plastics [PPS-based bearings]

It is a crystalline high-performance engineering plastic with a molecular structure in which phenyl groups (benzene rings) and sulfur alternate.

It has excellent heat resistance and can be used for long periods at high temperatures. It has excellent chemical resistance, with no oils or solvents that can dissolve PPS below 200°C. Additionally, it has excellent flame retardancy, tensile strength, and flexural strength, with a low shrinkage rate during molding and high dimensional stability. Its drawbacks include low toughness (weak against impact loads), poor weather resistance, and a tendency to produce burrs during molding. 【Features】 ■ Excellent heat resistance and high-temperature properties (up to 180°C for bearings) *Caution is needed for use under high load and high temperature as the glass transition point is around 90°C. ■ Excellent wear resistance ■ Mechanical strength, particularly strong compressive strength. ■ Chemical resistance second only to PTFE ■ Low water absorption (0.01%, almost no water absorption) ■ Electrical insulation ■ Low flammability (produces few toxic substances when burned) ■ Material approved by the Food Sanitation Act *For more details, please download the materials or contact us.
